LUBBOCK, Texas -

El Paso Congressman Beto O'Rourke makes a stop in Lubbock.

He addressed several relevant issues at a town hall meeting on Texas Tech campus including President Trump's plan to guard our border with the military.

"We don't need US military on the border, we have excellent border control agents who are doing the incredibly tough work for which they where trained. We  need to make sure we have the back of our border control, that we meet this with sanity and that we don't wall up or militarize our border, especially when we don't have to," O'Rourke said.

O'Rourke's campaign announced they've raised nearly $7 million over the first few months of 2018. Senator Ted Cruz still has yet to release his full first quarter fundraising.
