UPDATE: Man dies after getting hit by car Saturday night

LUBBOCK, Texas -

A man has died after being hit by a vehicle near Texas Tech Saturday evening.

According to Lubbock Police, responding officers found Joey Alafa, 42. He was hit trying to cross the westbound Marsha Sharp Freeway access road. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
