Even warmer next few days, cooler by Sunday

Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

THIS AFTERNOON: It's warmed into the 70s with some high clouds. It's a pretty quiet picture all around the region.

TONIGHT: Low near 41, mostly clear, wind SW/W 10-18mph.

WARMER NEXT FEW DAYS: It'll climb to near 80 tomorrow afternoon, mostly sunny. Wind SW/W 10-18mph.

Saturday will bring more wind. And, because the next cold front will be edging into our area in the afternoon, we'll probably have a big range in the temperature in the afternoon. This should range from upper 60s northeast to mid 80s southwest. Gusty wind W/NW 15-28mph.

NEXT FRONT: Once the front moves through it'll bring a gusty north wind and cooler air. Sunday's high will be in the mid 50s with a lot of clouds. The temperature will slowly climb back into the mid 60s by Wednesday.

We expect more clouds Sunday into Monday. And a few sprinkles are possible west of Lubbock. But, unfortunately, there isn't a good sign for rain.

7-day forecast?

Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update on the forecast early tomorrow morning.
-Matt
