Ben Carson accused of lavish spending

Congress wants the Department of Housing and Urban Development to turn over information on lavish spending on office furniture for HUD Secretary Ben Carson.
The department spent $31k last year to replace a dining room set in Carson's office. Carson said he was surprised and is now canceling the order.
House oversight committee chairman Trey Gowdy is requesting that HUD turn over all information related to decoration requests. He also wants information related to an employee's claim that she was demoted partly for refusing to spend more on furnishings than was legally allowed.
Carson tweeted "there has been no dishonesty or wrongdoing."
