Salvation Army hosts Community Resource Fair

Posted: Updated:

Volunteers with the Salvation Army spent the afternoon offering resources and programs, including assistance, advice, support, and counseling to those experiencing homelessness in our area.

The Salvation Army's Community Resource Fair highlights the partnerships available to anyone who needs the help. It's a way for Lubbock agencies to collaborate.

"Just keep each other informed of new programs, what we have to offer to the public," Social Services Manager Erica Hitt said. "But we also open the doors to the homeless community or those at risk of homelessness. We want anyone and everyone in need to come and to get these resources."

She says the event had to be capped because of capacity and expects the agency's next event turnout to be even larger.
