Cooler Saturday, sunny pattern continues

LUBBOCK, Texas -

THIS AFTERNOON: It didn't get quite as warm as expected in Lubbock today, lower 50s here. It did reach the 60s near the state line, with it cooler farther east, off of the Caprock.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold, low near 17. A cold front will move through early in the morning. The NE wind won't be too strong, about 10-15mph.

low temp forecast

WEEKEND: Saturday will be cool and mostly sunny, high near 45. Wind out of the SE becoming SE 5-15mph.

high temp forecast

Sunday will climb back to the mid 50s, near 56.

NEXT WEEK: We'll see some more clouds late Monday as a cold front approaches. There are some real weak signs of rain or snow with this front. It doesn't look too likely at this point. What is likely is another cold day, only in the mid 30s Tuesday afternoon.

Then the temperature will climb day-by-day through Friday. Expect lots of sun each afternoon next week.

7-day forecast

Bobby will have your next forecast update Saturday afternoon. Have a great weekend.
