Boren launches campaign for Lubbock County judge

Posted: Updated:

Former Lubbock city councilman Gary Boren is running to replace Tom Head as Lubbock County judge.

Boren says one of his promises is to remove the commissioners' ability to give themselves a raise. Another is to overhaul the property appraisal process, to give Lubbock County property owners a tax break.

The primary is March 6.

Boren is running as a Republican, against city councilwoman Karen Gibson and attorney Curtis Parrish.
