Volunteers to be honored at United Way Annual Meeting

LUBBOCK, Texas -

news release - The Lubbock Area United Way will honor outstanding volunteers at its annual meeting on Tuesday, January 30th, 11:30 AM at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Banquet Hall.

Douglas and Kay Sanford will be presented with the Rita Harmon Volunteer Service Award in recognition of their years of hard work and dedication to the Lubbock community. Other items on the agenda include the presentation of awards to the Campaign Volunteer of the Year, the Agency Volunteer of the Year, and the presentation of the 2017 Lubbock Area United Way financial report.

Cost of the luncheon is $30 per person or $240 for a table of eight. The meeting is open to the public, but seating is limited. The reservation deadline is January 26th, and tickets can be purchased online at http://bit.ly/2EjrQzQ, by emailing events@unitedway-lubbock.org, or calling (806) 747-2711.
