LUBBOCK, Texas -

A man has pleaded guilty to a murder in south Lubbock in July 2014.

Noel Serrano admits to his role in the stabbing and shooting death of 18-year-old Fabian Rios. Rios' body was found near the front porch of a home on 89th Street east of University.

Serrano was 18 at the time. Mayra Caraveo, 21, was also wanted for the crime. There was a search for the pair across West Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. Caraveo has yet to go to trial.

Judge Eichmann on Wednesday sentenced Serrano to 25 years in prison and a fine of $284.
