Man dies, woman injured in New Year's shooting

LUBBOCK, Texas -

UPDATE: 1/2 3:20 pm:

The injured male, 25-year-old Bo Cowling, was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The female victim, 25-year-old Brittney Webb, was transported with serious injuries, however they are not believed to be life threatening.

No arrests or charges are expected in this investigation.

UPDATE 1/1 8:00 pm: 

LPD spokeswoman Kasie Whitley confirmed this shooting is now being investigated as an attempted murder/suicide.

There's no additional information on the circumstances that led up to the shooting, or an update on the pair's condition.

Lubbock Police Officers were called to 3224 110th street, at 2:48 a.m. on Monday, January 1st following reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival officers located both a male and a female with gunshot wounds.

EMS transported both individuals to UMC by ambulance.

At this time, Detectives with Persons Crime are investigating.
