Incarnate Word hires Texas Tech OC Morris As HC

The University of the Incarnate Word announced the hiring of Eric Morris as the school's next head football coach Saturday night. Morris has served as Texas Tech's offensive coordinator for the past five seasons.

"Eric Morris has been a very successful student, football player and coach," UIW Athletic Director Brian Wickstrom said in a release from the University. "Since UIW Athletics has moved to the highest level of Division I competition, I am excited to have a coach of Eric's caliber be the one to help turn our program into a nationally competitive program. I am excited for our student-athletes and our campus community to be a part of the next steps of UIW Athletics."

After suiting up for the Red Raiders from 2004-07, Morris was hired by Kliff Kingsbury as an inside receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator. He was the last remaining assistant from Kingsbury's inaugural season as head coach.

Clayton Hatfield prepares for return after season of nagging injury

After a year dealing with a nagging injury, Clayton Hatfield is back to work, getting ready for September first. "Looking back you can say should have, would've, could have, but I feel like some of those games I wasn't one hundred percent," said Hatfield. "I should have just taken one more week, gotten back into it and I would've been a little bit better."
