PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Representative of media outlets are invited to attend the 1st Annual "Christmas Comes to North Philly" event, on Friday, December 22, 2017, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the Spring Garden School, 1146 Melon Street.

About 165 Kindergarten-through-4th-grade students who attend the North Central Philadelphia school, will receive toys and other gifts from Santa Claus.

The program is being sponsored by Richard Allen New Generation(RANG), a Registered Community Organization(RCO) that provides support to neighbors within a community that extends from Girard Avenue to Spring Garden Street, and from Broad Street, east to Eighth Street. The area is comprised of 3700 persons, approximately 75 percent of whom are African Americans.
