LUBBOCK, Texas – Lady Raider Basketball looks to snap its three-game skid as they travel to New Mexico for a midweek matchup on Wednesday.
Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT in the Dreamstyle Arena. The game will be streamed on GoLobos.com and can be heard on the Texas Tech Sports Network on 107.7 FM or on TexasTech.com.
Wednesday’s game marks the first trip back to Albuquerque for the program since the 2012-13 season. The Lady Raiders dropped a 65-61 decision despite double-digit points by three players led by Monique Smalls who posted 22 points.
The Lady Raiders lead the all-time series 15-3 against the Lobos and are 5-3 when playing in Albuquerque.
The Lady Raiders captured a 69-58 victory over New Mexico in last year’s meeting. Three players scored in double figures including Jada Terry who posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Texas Tech is looking to get back into the win column after dropping a 79-75 decision to Houston on Sunday. Junior Recee’ Caldwell led the team with a season-high 24 points.
The Lobos enter the midweek matchup looking to make history. They have won nine straight to open the season including a 101-93 win over in-state rival at New Mexico State.
Next up, the Lady Raiders close out the non-conference slate with three games at home. Tech hosts Prairie View A&M on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
