LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Los Angeles entertainment lawyer Tre Lovell is representing Univision reporter Paco Fuentes in the infamous "slap felt around the world" when Mexican superstar Eduardo Yanez viciously slapped the reporter at Lionsgate's red carpet launch of its new PANTAYA streaming service. According to the lawsuit filed on behalf of Fuentes, Lovell indicated that while being interviewed by the Univision reporter, Yanez "unexpectedly and viciously attacked Fuentes by striking him in the face so hard that it caused others on the red carpet, both celebrities and reporters, to literally freeze in shock." The incident was caught on video and has gone viral. Lovell believes the case stands for a much larger proposition: "This case engages a much larger issue of safety in the media and the need to ensure reporters and other media members can freely interview without having to worry about being physically assaulted."
