UPDATED: Investigators identify man killed in wreck near Abernathy

ABERNATHY, Texas -

update 9:07 a.m. Sunday - Investigators have released the name of the man killed, Randy Joe Hood, 60, of Abernathy.


posted Saturday evening - Texas DPS reports a fatal crash Saturday evening on FM 597, a mile and a half east of Abernathy.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a Chevy pickup was traveling eastbound and failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle over-corrected and rolled, ejecting the driver. According to the DPS, the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
