Southcrest Christian School honors veterans and their families

Southcrest Christian School honored veterans and their families Thursday.

The event included an ROTC color guard, a Warrior Band performance, and a sideshow of students' family members who've served.

"I think it's very important that our students remember them and understand their sacrifice," Erin West said. "I think that's why we love doing the sideshow during the program, so that it's a connection point for those families of those family members that they have that have served."

Throughout the rest of the day, Southcrest honored the family veterans with tours, classroom visits, and a card for each service member that attended.
