Texas is among the fattest states in the U.S. In fact, the Lone Star State ranks 2nd for the number of obese children, according to new data. We're 9th for the number of physically inactive adults and 10th for the percentage of obese adults.

Diabetes is a growing health concern and a study shows health care costs for a diabetic person are more than double what they are for those without the condition. Statistics also show type 1 diabetes shortens your life by an average of 11-13 years.
