Five arrested after Lakeridge residents report gunfire

Lubbock police have arrested five people after members on the Nextdoor app posted about hearing gunshots in the Lakeridge area Sunday night. 

Multiple calls to police dispatch indicated the shots were fired near 85th and Quinton. 

LPD reports officers were able to gather enough information on the suspects and tracked them down to a home in the 500 block of 50th Street. 

The four males believed to be involved in the multiple shots fired calls were arrested and charged with organized crime, possession of a stolen firearm and aggravated assault. Two of them had outstanding misdemeanor warrants. 

A fifth male at the home was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

All charged with engaging in organized crime, aggravated assault, theft of firearm:

- Christopher Flores, 20 (also had 2 outstanding misdemeanor warrants)

- Isaiah Lara, 17

- Bryan Benavidez, 17

- Timothy Benavidez, 23 (also had 2 outstanding Misdemeanor warrants)

Arrested for possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant
