For Immediate Release:

On Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 4:38pm the Slaton Police Department received confirmation that the missing person Billie Dawn Renfro has been located.

This has been an ongoing effort with Company “C” of The Texas Rangers, U.S. Marshal’s Office, Elk City Oklahoma Police Department, and many others.

All agencies are relieved that Billie is in the safe custody of her mother at his time.

The investigation continues, nothing further at this time.

By the authority of Trevor Barnes, Chief of Police, City of Slaton.

Police in Slaton are asking for the public's help to locate a missing teenager.

Billie Renfro, 16, has been missing since Sunday Sept. 17.

She was last seen leaving for the movies with a friend.

Police believe she is with Arnulfo Alvarado, 31, of Slaton. They may be headed to Colorado in a 2015 Honda Accord Texas license plate JXL-3397.

Chief Trevor Barnes said he is not considered an abductor since there is no proof she left unwillingly.

"Anybody that has any clue can see the hurt on the fathers face and I think it's time that they do the right thing regardless of fear of consequences of the law." Barnes said. "That it's time to do the right thing, let the father hug his daughter again."

Originally, police classified Renfro's disappearance as a run away but now that she has been gone for so long, she is considered missing. Her father, Jerry Renfro urged anyone with any kind of information about his daughters whereabouts to come forward.

"It's time for her to come home and if anybody out there knows wheres she's at let us know." Renfro said. "Call the PD and let us know, we need her home."

If you have information on their whereabouts, call Slaton PD 806-828-3020 or Crime Line 806-741-1000.
