Texas Tech hosts 18th annual Back to School Fiesta Saturday

WHAT:           18th annual Back to School Fiesta                                                                                             

WHEN:           9 a.m. - noon Saturday (Aug. 12)

WHERE:         Student Union Building, Texas Tech University

EVENT:          Texas Tech’s 18th annual Back to School Fiesta (BTSF) returns Saturday to help Lubbock and surrounding area K-12 students and their families prepare for the upcoming school year.                       

                        The event is hosted by Texas Tech’s Office of Community Engagement along with the Office of the President and the Division of Institutional Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement and provides free educational resources to students and their families while allowing them to experience the campus.

                        Each student attending will receive a backpack filled with free school supplies offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Bilingual events and activities also will be included. Lunch and the backpacks will be distributed at 10:00 a.m.
