LUBBOCK, Texas -

Summer is almost over and parents are getting ready for the back to school shopping lists.

The Women's Protective Services of Lubbock is asking for donations for their Back to School Supply Drive to help women and children in the shelter who face tough times to meet those school supply needs.

"Our children's ages vary from kindergarten all the way to high school so anything helps nowadays," said Steve Garcia, WPS communications coordinator. "These school supply lists are so crazy and long. So it can be anything from notebook pads, pens, pencils, glue sticks, Kleenex boxes, backpacks we always need those."

If you would like to donate school supplies to WPS, they have a decorated bin at the Walmarts on 98th and University as well as Milwaukee and Loop 289.
