A man and woman are in custody and facing multiple charges following a police pursuit Friday.

Thomas Caudill, 32, is charged with aggravated assault on public servant, evading in a motor vehicle, evading on foot, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, abandoning or endangering a child and an outstanding felony warrant for a parole violation.

April Foskett, 33, was arrested for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Police were responding to a civil disturbance in the 7700 block of Vernon Avenue. When officers arrived, a white SUV was seen leaving the residence.

Police say the SUV ran a stop sign and didn't stop when officers attempted a traffic stop.

The suspect reportedly fired multiple shots from the vehicle before running from police.

Police say they found Foskett and two children inside the SUV.

LPD reports a K-9 unit located Caudill hiding in a backyard in the 2700 block of 79th Street. He was taken into custody without incident, according to police.

The children are now in CPS custody.
