Grand jury indicts woman accused of aiding husband's suicide

A Lubbock grand jury has indicted a Lubbock woman accused of aiding her husband's suicide.

Nicole Goin, 43, told police she woke up to find her husband, Matthew, on the floor. After trying to move him, she told police he was stiff and blue.

Goin told told police she and her husband had a suicide pact and planned to die together. 

Court documents indicate "a reasonable person" should have known to contact police as soon as possible. 

Goin told police she didn't call 911, instead she tried to find a relative's house in Lubbock, but got lost and pulled over at a Stripes in Lamesa. 

According to court documents, Goin said her husband, who was on probation, wanted to die because he was throwing up blood daily because of synthetic marijuana use and feared he would be sent back to jail for failing a drug test. 

Goin is jailed on $50,000 bond.
