Look Around Lubbock: ThistleDew Lavender Farm

Posted: Updated:

ThistleDew Lavender Farm is a family owned and operated farm in Dickens that creates homemade lavender influenced products. You can find the lavender products at the Lubbock Downtown Farmer's Market every Saturday through October.

How it got started:

The company was created in 2005, after Danny Davis, the owner of Thistledew, retired as a firefighter in Lubbock County. While visiting their son in Washington State, his wife Laurie purchased a lavender tea bag that would change their life. The Davis’ came back to Dickens, Texas, and started researching varieties of lavender, and soon planted a field of their own. The family first realized their success after selling out of products at their first farmers market. From that moment, the Davis’ knew they had a valuable product that customers were demanding. Today, the Davis’ have a production crop of more than 2,500 plants.
