LPD investigating overnight crash that left man with serious injuries

(LUBBOCK, TX) – On Thursday, around 4:40 a.m. Lubbock Police Department officers were called to the 2700 block of 82nd street in reference to a serious accident involving a car hitting a utility pole.

There were two male occupants in the car, one of whom was taken to UMC with Code A injuries.

Officers with the Accident Investigation Unit were called to the scene to investigate. Initial information indicates the car was traveling east on 82nd street when it failed to stay in its  lane – then hitting the utility pole.  

This crash remains under investigation by the Accident Investigation Unit.
