Posted: Updated:

On Wednesday July 12, multiple warrants were issued for the arrest of a former Motley County Independent School District teacher.

That former teacher was identified as Shonna Calaway, 47.

In the days prior to the warrants, information had been obtained of Calaway's possible sexual engagement with multiple students of Motley County I.S.D.

Throughout the investigation, all evidence indicates that all occurrences of contact or conduct did not occur on school grounds or on school time.

An investigation took place whereby Calaway was interviewed and made admissions in to two counts of improper relationship between educator and student and one count of sexual assault of a child.

All three warrants were executed and Calaway has been arrested.

She is being held in the Garza County Jail on a $75,000 bond.

Further investigation is still pending.
