Retired firefighter loses battle with cancer

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock Fire Rescue mourned the loss of retired firefighter.

Jay Watson retired in 2015 after serving 28 years with the fire department. 

After a long battle with cancer, he passed away this past Saturday. 

A service was held in his memory this morning.
