17-year-old shot, police searching for shooter

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock Police are investigating a shooting that left a teen seriously wounded.

It happened early Tuesday morning at the Park Apartments, on 50th Street near West Loop 289.

The victim, Andrew Ramirez, 17,  remains in critical condition.

Investigators believe it escalated from an argument between two groups over Snapchat. When police arrived the shooter was gone.

Because of the severity of Ramirez's injuries, homicide investigators were called to the scene.
