Whitney Huddleston is the morning meteorologist on Good Day Lubbock, 5-9 a.m. weekdays on FOX34. You can also listen to her updates on 93.7 The Eagle, Double T 97.3, Oldies 97.7, Magic 106.5 and 107.7 YesFM.
Whitney joined the FOX34 team in the Spring of 2017. She previously worked at KCBD in Lubbock as a weekend meteorologist. Whitney is a Texas Tech alumna with a Bachelor of Arts, and a Mississippi State alumna with a degree in meteorology.
Whitney has had a love for weather her entire life. She grew up in Belton, Texas (north of Austin) then moved west to start college in 2006. The most memorable storm from her childhood was the Jarrell, Texas tornado in 1997. She started storm chasing while at Texas Tech.
As a member of the Lubbock community, Whitney is involved in volunteering with various organizations including Susan G. Komen, the American Cancer Society (Cattle Baron's Ball event), and Junior League. She enjoys long distance running, traveling, snow-skiing, live music, and anything in relation to Texas Tech sports.
Whitney married her husband Lance in 2015. They have two cats, Jax & Opie (named after Sons of Anarchy) and a dog, Cash. They are very much looking forward to expanding their family in the future.
