Hockley Co. sheriff investigating reports of roadway shooting

Hockley County's sheriff is investigating several recent reports of shots fired by someone driving in a vehicle north of Smyer.

The latest incident on May 12 near the 900 block of Grant Street reportedly involved a white Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck.

The sheriff warns shooting from a vehicle on a roadway is not only a crime, it is a safety issue.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Hockley County Sheriff's Office.
