ABC Rodeo 75th anniversary recognized by legislature

The 75th anniversary of the ABC Pro Rodeo in Lubbock was recognized Monday in the Texas Senate with a special resolution.

Lubbock Senator Charles Perry introduced the measure to honor the work and dedication of the ABC Rodeo. especially its work with the Lubbock Boys and Girls Club.
   
"What started as a small business loan filled out by a handful of guys has turned into something that has positively impacted and enhanced Lubbock's community," Perry said. "Lubbock is blessed by a wonderful organization that is serving our kids and entertaining our communities."

The ABC Rodeo has donated more than $1 million to Lubbock charities over the years.

The rodeo will be the weekend of March 30. Information about times and tickets can be found on the ABC Rodeo's website.
