Lubbock business owner collecting shoes for children in need

LUBBOCK, Texas -

A Lubbock business owner is on a mission to gift children in need some new shoes. Natalie Craig, owner of Regimen Men's Fine Grooming Salon is collecting shoes for children of the Texas Boys Ranch and the Children's Home of Lubbock.

Craig, with the help of the Texas Tech Football program, was able to work a deal with Under Armour and purchase shoes at wholesale. She has about 115 pairs and will be delivering them to the kids two days before Christmas.

Craig did this same campaign about five years ago, and says this is what the holiday season is all about.

"We wanted to make sure that every shoe is the coolest style, greatest colors," Craig said. "We are hoping that they will enjoy them, and as they use them and grow the next kid will be able to use the next size and we can keep sharing."

She said getting new shoes is very special for the children.

"We all ask for donations yearly but these children it is very special to have shoes," she said. "We can do March of Dimes all year around, we can do the Make-A-Wish all year round, but this is one chance to give the kids brand new shoes."

Craig said some of Tech's basketball players and Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury will help deliver the shoes.

Craig has received a lot of of support, including monetary donations. If you would like to donate, the salon is located at 5217 82nd Street, Suite 116.
