Buddy Holly's older brother dies at 89

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Buddy Holly's older brother, Travis Holley, died Thursday night.

When he returned from serving in the Marines he taught his younger brother Charles his first guitar chords. The world knows Charles as Buddy.

Travis Holley died in Lubbock, reportedly surrounded by family. He'd been suffering from a variety of health problems. He was 89.

Their sister Pat died in 2008. Buddy's eldest brother Larry is 91. Buddy would have been 80 this year.
