Volunteers beautify Clapp Park

LUBBOCK, Texas -

"Good Earth Recycling" reported Clapp Park is the dirtiest park in the city, and it's using the park as an example of how to protect green spaces.

It's part of its Purifying Parks Project and involved more than 75 volunteers Saturday. They picked up loads of trash from the very large space on University Ave.

"We did a park cleanup before," Nick Nowicki with GER said, "and we had 20 or 30 people. Now, to have this many people, it just really shows how it's growing and how many people care about this city and want to see the parks beautiful."

Good Earth Recycling reports it puts on about four park cleanups a year. For more information, you can visit its website.
