The Hub Theater Group is performing a relatively new play, "Disgraced" by Ayad Akhtar, which deals with timely issues of religious identity and islamophobia in America.It's about an American-born, Muslim-raised lawyer who's abandoned his faith to further his career and assimilate into the American Dream. And by happenstance, it's being performed on the weekend of the 15th anniversary of September 11th, allowing audiences deeper thought on important questions.

"Once Upon a Mattress"

Lubbock Community Theater has the musical "Once Upon a Mattress," which is a spoof of the "Princess and the Pea." The musical comedy is a fine fit for the whole family. LCT will perform "Once Upon A Mattress" for the next three weekends.
