Stacy joined the FOX34 News Team in September 2016 and serves as a weekend anchor, reporter, and producer.
She was born in Austin and, soon after, relocated to New Braunfels where she grew up a New Braunfels Mighty Unicorn. She first developed a love for the broadcasting arts by listening to Kidd Kraddick in the Morning on her local radio station in middle school.
The passion was even more alive when she went to high school. After taking a journalism class and learning basic photography skills freshman year, she knew she was on the path to her future. From sophomore to senior year, she spent her days filming and editing video packages. She anchored and produced her school's newscast, sideline reported the football and basketball games, and occasionally sang the National Anthem at said games.
She became a University of Texas Longhorn in August 2012 and immediately started volunteering for the student-run newscast on campus. Through Texas Student Television she gained on-camera anchoring and reporting experience for two years. She spent her weeks as an Associate Producer for Good Morning Texas and Entertainment Producer for KVR News.
Stacy was one of only 40 undergraduate students chosen to attend the University of Texas Semester in Los Angeles Program for Fall 2015. She was the intern for Young Hollywood, whose state-of-the-art production studio is located in Beverly Hills, California. Through Young Hollywood, Stacy gained real-world experience in the Entertainment Industry. The company had her writing editorials, composing questions and interviewing artists, keeping the studio running smoothly, and serving as press for events like iHeartRadio Music Festival and South By Southwest.
During her senior year at UT Austin, Stacy was a Reporter for Texas Newswatch, a weekly student-run newscast. In May 2016, Stacy graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism.
At FOX34, Stacy anchors the News @ Nine every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. She also reports a "Money Matters" segment, and is a general assignment reporter. Every Friday from 6-9 on FOX34 News Now, Stacy produces and anchors the "Lubbock News Now" newscast. She also produces the News @ Nine every Saturday and Sunday.
