Audra Coffman joined the FOX34 news team August 2015 as an associate producer for Good Day Lubbock. In October 2015, she became our full-time web content producer. She is responsible for fox34.com as well as FOX34 social media accounts.
Audra was born and raised in Cleburne, Texas. She graduated from Cleburne High School in 2000 and went on to the University of Texas at Austin where she majored in theater and dance and government. She interned with Bush/Cheney 2000, Inc. and at the Capitol as a legislative intern. She moved to Lubbock after falling in love with the people and wide open spaces. The events of September 11th inspired her to get her journalism degree, and she spent the next 14 years - while raising a family - to work toward that goal.
Audra and her husband, Nick, a West Texas native, have four children. In 2014, Audra went back to school full-time at Texas Tech University and graduated in December 2015 with her degree in journalism.
When she isn't at work, you can find her at the soccer fields watching the Coffman kids play or watching crime documentaries and CNN. (She is most likely simultaneously following the news of the day on her phone.)
Audra has a passion for politics, writing, investigative journalism and social justice. She plans to stay in Lubbock for many years and tell the stories of the amazing people of West Texas.
