LPD searching for suspects in east Lubbock shooting
Lubbock Police are looking for suspects in connection to a shooting in east Lubbock.
Police report a 15-year-old suffered multiple gun shot wounds and was taken to UMC with critical injuries.
LPD advised there were two different groups involved, but it's too early to tell if it's gang related. Police say the suspects are black ranging from the teens to mid-20s.
Lt. Ray Mendoza said one group was in the front yard of a home near the 2900 block of Beech Street, the other group was in a vehicle. He said after some words were exchanged between the two, shots were fired from both parties.
Lt. Mendoza said witnesses advised police there's been some trouble brewing in the area.
