After making it through four winters in one of the country's snowiest cities, Ben Peck is thrilled to be back in Texas. Ben first moved to the Lone Star State in 2005, when his family settled down in Friendswood, about 20 miles outside of Houston. Prior to the Bayou City, he had also spent time living in Chicago, Atlanta, and Greenville, South Carolina.
After graduating from Friendswood High School, Ben once again packed his bags to attend Syracuse University in Upstate New York. While there, he was an active member of CitrusTV, one of the nation's oldest and entirely student-run television stations. In addition to being involved heavily in the sports department as a producer, reporter, host, and anchor, he also served as the organization's programming director. During his tenure, the station successfully piloted three new shows, which were the first additions to the studio's programming in five years.
Ben has also had the pleasure of interning at CSN Houston, where he met a lot of great people and mentors who have helped him with his career's progression. In 2012, he served as the main Internet broadcaster for the Y-D Red Sox in the Cape Cod Baseball League, the country's premier collegiate summer baseball league.
While he's not at work, Ben loves meeting and talking to new people. As a two-time All-State choir candidate in high school, you can also probably find him singing some tunes around the South Plains. If you have any ideas about a cool story or just want to say hello, feel free to contact him or say hi if you run into him in the Hub!
