Bernie Sanders supporters organize local campaign

The Bernie Sanders campaign launched in Lubbock. Supporters of "Bernie 2016" attended a meet and greet, that's just one of many across the nation for the Democratic candidate for president.

The supporters elected their precinct chairs and activity teams were organized to operate the local campaign.

"Of course he's been wowing people, he draws crowds at least 10,000 wherever he goes in red states I may add. Tonight (Wednesday) is to get together to identify our supporters in Lubbock Texas so we can move forward with more and more events just like this one so that we can get them to talk to people here in Lubbock about Bernie's issues because they are American's issues," local coordinator Carol Morgan said.

The Lubbock event among more than 2,000 Sanders rallies nationwide.
