Temperatures once again reached the 90s across the area. Here's a look at just how hot we got this afternoon:
The hot and sunny weather will continue into next week, with triple digit heat certainly a possibility in some locations (primarily south and east of Lubbock) over the next couple of days. By the second half of the week, temperatures will drop to the low 90s. We've also got some very slight chances for rain thanks to a cold front to our north. It's a similar setup to last week, where it looks like the front will stay to our north, but we could see a few showers and storms, mostly in our northern counties. At this point, it looks like most of us will likely remain dry.
I'll have the hour-by-hour forecast on FOX34 News Saturday at 6 on FOX34 News Now, and on the FOX34 News at Nine.
