LPD looking for suspect(s) in El Patron homicide

A man is dead after a fight Sunday night at a bar that has a history of violent confrontations. According to the Lubbock Police Department, a fight broke out inside El Patron club near Southeast Drive and 50th Street.

The brawl spilled into the parking lot. Minutes later, a bystander called 911.

"What's the address?" the operator asked.

"El Patron, at El Patron the bar. They shot somebody," the bystander explained.

"El Patron? What's going on?" the operator asked.

"Somebody shot somebody," the called said.

That somebody who got hit was 23-year-old Jose Diaz Garcia. He was transported by a private vehicle to UMC where he later died.
