Suspect arrested after 7-Eleven robbery

Lubbock police arrested a suspect a few blocks away after a convenience store robbery.

LPD reports the suspect, armed with a knife and wearing a shirt around his head and face, threatened the clerk at the 7-Eleven at 26th Street and Avenue Q early Tuesday morning. When a vehicle pulled into the parking lot, the bandit fled with a case of beer, but no money.

Billy Glen Wilson, 31, was arrested a short time later near 26th Street and Avenue N. He's held on an aggravated robbery charge.
