It was another mild morning that quickly turned to a hot afternoon under a sunny sky. Below is a look at some of the morning lows and afternoon highs from today.
A few isolated showers and weak thunderstorms formed across our northwestern counties this afternoon. We could see a few more this evening with the general movement being to the northeast. These showers have been small and brief, thus only dropping some light rain and hardly effecting anybody, so there is definitively no need to adjust your plans around them. You can keep an eye on the rain with our live streaming radar below.
High pressure will move back over Texas this weekend keeping us under a sunny sky with hot temperatures in the upper 90s and perhaps even a few triple digits mixed in. A front will stall across the Texas Panhandle at the beginning of next week which will provide a focus for storm development. Some of these storms could move down into our northern counties although right now it looks like even this chance is pretty low and most of us will miss out on any rain. This is something we will be monitoring closely.
Happy Friday! I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy the sun! I will step you through the forecast tonight on the News at Nine and Christopher will have all the forecast updates for you this weekend.
