Ronald McDonald House welcomes new house mate

The Ronald McDonald House hosted a welcome party for the newest member of its team. Jax a two-year-old lab and trained service animal is the Chief Cheer Officer or CCO. His official duties include spreading love and giving joy to the families Ronald McDonald House serves to help meet the family's needs in a different way.

"Jax's job is really just to cuddle and just be there for the families," President Dina Jeffries said. "What our families go through, they really start missing their four legged family members at home when they're here for extended times. So Jax brings a little bit of normalcy back into their lives."

Jax joining the family through a partnership with Guide Dogs for the Blind program from California. This is the first Ronald McDonald House to do a partnership with the program and have a service animal in their home.
