The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest provides a home away from home for families of critically ill children receiving treatment in local hospitals. RMHC Southwest keeps families together during their child's serious illness or injury. The Lubbock House is responsible for these programs. RMHC of the Southwest has many new improvements and changes to the programs and house this summer, along with new volunteer opportunities.
"We are always looking to build our programs and meet the needs of our families," said President and CEO Dina Jeffries. "It's always nice to celebrate the success of a program implemented a year ago, and bring on new additions to our programs that will directly impact the children and families we serve."
FOX 34's Ashley Claster got a tour of the house and met the newest staff member, Jax the Chief Cheer Officer Dog, in your Look Around Lubbock. View the attached video to see and learn more.
