It's a quiet summertime pattern this week into the weekend. We start this morning in the 60s and low 70s with a few high clouds, light SW wind.
Upper-level high pressure is centered over West Texas today, which is why we won't see much clouds and we expect the high in the mid to upper 90s. It should be a little warmer off of the Caprock. Wind S 5-15mph.
Next few days the ridge will build east slightly. There won't be any dramatic changes, but the daily storm chance across New Mexico will come a little farther east. By Wednesday a few storms will be possible from Eastern New Mexico into the western TX Panhandle. It doesn't look like much of a rain chance here. By next week the ridge may build farther west, which could bring some rain here if it goes far enough west. Still, no promising sign of rain over the next 7 days.
Have a great day. Rudy will have a full update here later today. Christopher will be in for me rest of the week.
