Lubbock Christian Schools' Superintendent announced his plans for retirement a year in advance. Peter H. Dahlstrom will step down after twenty years as superintendent.
LCS, the oldest private school in Lubbock, has grown under his watch and 95 percent of graduates have gone on to higher education and professional careers.
This year Dahlstrom received national recognition with the Vaughn Luster Award for outstanding administrator by the National Christian School Association.
Dahlstrom will finish the 2015 and 2016 school year giving the school board plenty of time to find his replacement.
