Final preparations finished at Mackenize Park the new location for Fourth on Broadway. Organizers said Mackenzie park is the perfect spot for the event because of the shade and a family-friendly atmosphere.
It took several months and more than 250 volunteers to help put the celebration together. Jeremy Layman board president for Broadway Festivals said he's expecting 75 to 100 thousand residents to stop by.
"Broadway Festivals has managed to produce this event for 25 years and for us to grow in the future, Mackenize park allows more shade, more grass, a more family-just the atmosphere out here just the atmosphere at here is going to be much more for the event and allows us to grow for another 25 years," Layman said.
Layman encourages guests to bring a small pop-up tent and to get there early. The parade begins at 9 a.m.
