Suspect arrested after rush hour road rage mishap

Lubbock Police responded to a rush hour road rage mishap Thursday. Shortly after 5 p.m., there were reports of an aggressiver driver on the South Loop 289 heading westbound with another car following.

"There were reports one of the vehicles had a firearm and displayed it at the other driver," LPD Lieutenant Ray Mendoza said. "Officers were dispatched and caught up with them at 98th and Frankford and took him into custody without further incident."

Mendoza said one suspect was taken into custody charged with aggravated assault. The firearm was recovered.
